    Oli has been immersed in the restaurant industry from a young age, starting his journey as a pot washer at the age of 15. Over the years, he honed his skills and developed a particular passion for creating delicious bar snacks, especially croquettes and arancini.

    During the 2020 lockdown, Oli found himself furloughed and had time to reflect on the food service industry. He made a surprising discovery.. there was a significant gap in the market for high-quality croquettes and arancini. While many establishments served these tasty snacks, very few suppliers offered premium products tailored for the food service sector.

    Thus, Scootch was born, committed to delivering the finest snacks to restaurants and bars across the industry.

    Oli initially set up his venture as a street food business to gather insights on consumer preferences. This hands-on approach allowed him to directly observe what flavours resonated with people.

    Over time, Oli came to a significant realisation: the best route to market came by selling these high-end snacks into hospitality businesses. He recognised a pressing need due to the shortage of chefs, especially experienced ones, in the industry, as well as the rise in labour costs forcing many establishments to streamline operations. By pivoting towards the hospitality sector, Oli aimed to address these challenges, offering a solution the food service businesses.
